この練習は、

「毎日10分通訳練習① 要約練習（事実型）」
「毎日10分通訳練習② 要約練習（分析型）」

を終えた方向けの、③：意見型の発話の要約練習です。

①では事実整理、②ではロジック整理を行いました。
③では、話者の立場と主張が前面に出る発話を扱います。

今回扱う「意見型の発話」

 

今回の発話は、事実説明や分析ではなく、
話者の意見・評価・主張が中心です。

ここでまず必要なのは、
トランプのような話者は「事実」という言葉を使っても、それが必ずしも事実とは限らない
という認識です。

ただし、要約者・通訳者はそこに介入できません。
発言の正確性を検証したり、誇張や誤りを修正したりしたうえで
要約や通訳をすることはできません。

扱うのは、
話者が

「何を事実だとして語り、何を正しいと主張しているか」
という立場そのものです。

意見型の要約では、正しさを判断しないことが前提になります。

今回の音声（約5分）

 

今回の音声は、およそ5分です。

・全体像をつかみ
・主張の軸を見抜き
・頭の中で一度整理する

という作業を、集中力を切らさずに行える長さです。

意見型の発話は勢いが強く、
長すぎると「印象」だけが残りがちです。

5分は、印象ではなく構造で捉える訓練に向いています。

進め方は①②と同じです。

・先に単語・表現を確認する
・トランスクリプトを見ずに音声を聴く
・最後に文字で理解を確認する

事実ではなく、主張と評価に注意して聴く

ことを意識してください。

要約の基本姿勢（③）

 

③の要約は、発言を短く言い換える練習ではありません。
目的は、話者の意見を歪めずに受け取ることです。

意見型の発話では、
要約者（ひいては通訳者）自身の評価や感想が
無意識に混ざりやすくなります。

それを防ぐための練習です。

要約のコツ（③）

 

・事実と意見を切り分けて聞く
・主張の軸を一本に絞る
・二項対立の構図を整理する
・断定の強さを弱めすぎない
・要約者の評価を入れない

この型を意識すると、
意見型の発話でも話者の立場を崩さずに要約できます。

実際の通訳では、この三つが常に混ざって現れます。

要約への「導線」

 

このモデル要約は、
聞いた内容を短く削った結果ではありません。

どの順番で聞き、何を捉え、何を落としたか
その判断の積み重ねの結果です。

以下は、この音声をどのように整理すれば、
下に示す要約に自然に到達するか、その導線です。

① 最初に押さえるのは「話者は何を言い切っているか」

 

このスピーチは冒頭から一貫しています。

・アメリカは劇的に復活した
・それは偶然ではなく、政策転換の結果だ

ここで重要なのは、
この主張が正しいかどうかではありません。

 

話者が
「成功した」と強く言い切っている
という点を、まず一文で捉えます。

そのため、日本語要約も英語要約も、
最初は

「復活したと主張している」
という形で始まっています。

② 次に見るのは「理由をどう積み上げているか」

 

続いて話者は、成功の理由として政策を並べます。

・国境管理
・規制緩和
・減税
・エネルギー政策の転換
・不公平な貿易相手への圧力

ここでやってはいけないのは、
どれが正しいか、どれが誇張かを考えることです。

話者は、

複数の政策をまとめて「これが成功の理由だ」と主張している
という構造で話しています。

そのため要約では、
個別説明を削り、

「低インフレと高成長が同時に実現した」
という結果にまとめています。

③ 中盤では「事実ではなく評価に切り替わる」

 

スピーチの中盤から、話者は対立構造を作ります。

・自分たちの政策は正しい
・他国の政策は間違っている

「大きな政府」「失敗したエネルギー政策」「開かれた国境」
といった表現は、事実説明ではなく評価です。

要約では、
これらの言葉をそのまま使う必要はありません。

代わりに、
そうした国々を批判している
という立場だけを残します。

④ グリーンランドは「主張を具体化する例」

 

グリーンランドの話題は、
突然出てきた話ではありません。

ここまでで話者は、

・経済力＝国家安全保障
・強いアメリカこそが秩序を守る

という考え方を積み上げています。

グリーンランドは、
その考え方を具体的な形で示すための例です。

要約では、

是非や現実性を論じず、
「防衛できるのはアメリカだけだという立場を示す」

と処理しています。

⑤ 最後は一つの意見に収束させる

 

スピーチ全体を通して、
話者が言いたいことは一つです。

・強いリーダーシップ
・公平な同盟

評価や感想を加えず、
それが彼の意見である
という形で終えています。

Thank you. Thank you very much. It’s great to be back in Davos. Really great. I’ve been coming here for a long time, many years, and I know a lot of people in this room. Very smart people. Very successful people.

And I’m here today with tremendous news from the United States. Tremendous news. Things are happening in America that people honestly said would never happen again.

In just one year back in office, we’ve achieved one of the fastest economic turnarounds anyone has ever seen. The American economy is booming again. It’s booming. Growth is strong. Inflation is down. Way down. Jobs are back. Investment is pouring in from all over the world. Companies are coming back to America. Big companies. The best companies.

The stock market is at record highs. Trillions and trillions of dollars have been added to savings and retirement accounts. People are opening their statements and saying, wow, this hasn’t happened in a long time. People are doing very well again.

Now, just one year ago, we had a disaster. Everybody remembers it. High inflation. Low growth. Weak borders. Terrible energy policy. Stagflation. You couldn’t buy groceries. You couldn’t afford gas. And people were very unhappy. Very unhappy. Now look at the difference.

We have strong growth with almost no inflation. Think of that. Strong growth, no inflation. Economists said it couldn’t be done. They were wrong. Very wrong. And it didn’t happen by luck.

It happened because we changed policy.

We secured the border. And the border matters. People don’t like to talk about it here, but it matters. We cut regulations like nobody has ever cut regulations before. We lowered taxes for companies that build, produce, and hire in America. We imposed tariffs on countries that were ripping us off for decades. Decades. And we stopped destroying our energy industry.

We started producing again. Oil. Gas. Nuclear. Clean, powerful, reliable American energy. We didn’t shut it down. We let America work again.

And what happened? Factories came back. Jobs came back. Trillions of dollars came back. Companies started investing in the United States again because it finally made sense to do so. Not because they were forced. Because it made sense. Energy prices came down. Exports went up. Confidence came back.

America became the engine of the world economy again.

When America is strong, the world does better. That’s just a fact. You may not like it, but it’s true.

But a lot of countries chose a very different path. Big government. Massive spending. Open borders. Energy policies that shut everything down. Green policies that sound nice but don’t work. And what did they get? High prices. Weak growth. Energy shortages. And when you don’t have energy, nothing works.

Energy is power. Very simple. If you don’t have energy, you don’t have an economy. And if you don’t have an economy, you don’t have security. It all connects.

That brings me to security. Economic strength and national security always go together. Always. And nowhere is that clearer than Greenland.

Greenland is in a very important location. A very strategic location. Between the United States, Russia, and China. Everybody knows it. Look at a map. It’s right there. And it’s largely undefended.

And let’s be honest. It cannot be properly defended by Denmark. It cannot be properly defended by NATO. Only the United States can do it. Only the United States has the capability, the reach, and the responsibility.

We defended Greenland before. People forget that. We paid the price. We did it to protect freedom and stability. Today, the stakes are even higher. Much higher. For America. For Europe. For the world.

Greenland must be secured properly. And that’s why we are talking about acquiring it. Not as aggression. As responsibility. It’s about security. It’s about stability. And frankly, it’s about reality.

The same idea applies everywhere. Trade. Defense. Alliances. For too long, the United States paid more, defended more, gave more, and got less. Everybody knows it. We’re not saying we won’t lead. We will. But leadership has to be fair.

Strong alliances are important. But strong allies matter too. Everyone has to carry their share. Everyone.

We believe in strong borders. Strong energy. Strong economies. Strong leadership. That’s what works. That’s what produces results.

America is back. America is strong again. And we’re moving fast. Very fast.

The best days of the United States are ahead of us.
